Easily scan and attach documents as you add new transactions in QuickBooks

  1. Click on the paperclip icon to attach a document to the current transaction.
  2. The folder icon shows if there are any documents associated with the current transaction. Click this icon to view the documents.
  3. The notepad icon shows if there are any comments or "sticky notes" attached to the current transaction. Click this icon to view/edit the notes.

There's no limit to the type or number of files you can attach

  1. Click on the paperclip icon to attach a document to any transaction.
  2. Preview the scanned image or browse your file system to select a document to attach. 
  3. SmartVault will auto-name the document. Click "Accept" to associate the document to the current transaction in QuickBooks.

Manage HR documents from the Employee Center in QuickBooks

  1. The SmartVault toolbar allows you to attach documents to Customers, Vendors, Employees, Accounts, and To Do notes.
  2. Click the folder icon to view all available documents.
  3. Open, print or save documents to your local disk drive.

BACKUP COMPANY DATABASE FILES OFFSITE

  1. Backup one, some or all files in one operation to SmartVault.
  2. Designate backups as permanent or temporary (can be deleted to save disk space).
  3. Give your backups a name for easy identification.

Easily restore and share QuickBooks company files to any computer, over the web

  1. Select the company file you want to restore.
  2. SmartVault automatically knows where to put the file (or you can choose an alternate location).
  3. Click "Restore" to open the company file.

SHARING AND USING NOTES TO COLLABORATE

Instantly share documents and notes with your accountant for collaboration over the web

  1. Scan and attach your bank statement to your bank account in QuickBooks using the SmartVault toolbar.
  2. Click the notepad icon to alert your accountant of any important messages.
  3. Notes marked "urgent" will be shown as red, rather than yellow notes.
  4. Your accountant will see the note and bank statement when they sign on to the SmartVault web portal.
